Now that we don't get together every quarter to celebrate kid birthdays, we decided to still make time to celebrate the Spofford kid birthdays. Last year we exchanged gifts while on vacation, but since this is an off year, we decided to create an event and went to Chuck E. Cheese's. We each bought our kids tokens and then watched them play/collected their tickets for them until it was time for pizza followed by redeeming all their tickets, then we ate cake and opened presents. We ended up being there from 10am to 1pm and everything was great. The kids got along, they really seemed to enjoy being there with their cousins, not just playing the games (though that's obviously fun too), the impromptu cake was good and everyone liked their gifts. Carson was a dream the whole time and I'm almost sad we won't be doing it again next year. (We'll do it on vacation again next year.) Here are some pictures from our time there.
