Fossil Rim, June 2015

For Father's Day 2014, Seth wanted us to do a fun activity since we were no longer celebrating with family. We had a blast at the pool last year, but it wasn't a viable option this year for obvious reasons. Instead, he came up with the idea of going to Fossil Rim and feeding the animals from the car (they eat right out of your hand!). We moved the carseats around so that Austin and Graham each had a window and put Carson in the way back. Austin was a little timid around the animals, but Graham was super excited to feed them. Seth and I both fed them quite a bit, but I rolled my window up when it came to the ostriches. (Several years ago we drove through one of these things near Austin and after a run in with an angry one, I've been afraid ever since!)

It was a lot longer of an event that we had expected, but we had a great time and enjoyed our day trip together. Next time I'll remember the camera (ha!) and we'll bring more snacks and drinks for the car. Happy Father's Day to the bestest Daddy and Husband in America. Love you, babe!

Halfway through there's a stopping point with a petting zoo, restrooms, and gift shop. Carson peed on me (his diaper leaked) while Seth was in changing Graham's diaper which was yucky, but the bigs had a good time brushing the goats and seeing how call they are compared to different animals. I don't think this thing is exactly accurate because we fed some zebras who were much taller than Austin is.
