Two Marcone Letters in 1 Week!

The first week of June was a very busy week for us. We were busy getting ready for the upcoming biennial Spofford Family Vacation (more on that later) in addition to Austin's Swim Lessons beginning, my summer Bible study starting up, Austin finally getting his 18-month pictures taken (at 19.5 months), Seth and I spending time with Jessica before she moves to Atlanta, etc. There were several unusual things taking place at the same time. It was a very fun and busy time.

And then we got two letters from Marcone! The week just kept getting better! Well, really, the letters are from his mom (he and Austin are the exact same age--so you can imagine he doesn't have much to say to us yet ;-). And one of them included two pictures of him. REAL pictures. Not pictures printed on paper, but actual pictures of him. One of him at 5 months and one at 12 months. My eyes water even now, weeks later, at how precious these pictures must have been to his mom and yet she sent them to us! They are hanging on our family calendar in the kitchen right next to all the sonograms we've collected of this pregnancy so far. We very much value our relationship with Marcone (and his entire family), and I can't wait until Austin understands his existence. What a great way to be teaching people about Jesus!!??
